Look at it this way... just like that 2000 year old story about a seed that fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. Some seeds fell on rock, and when they came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. Other seeds fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants.
Still other seeds fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown. If you plant into poor potting soil, can you really expect to see good growth? I don't think so. But what if a plant had poor moisture or poor sunlight... Just good potting soil... Can it grow? ABSOLUTELY! The results you will see with my potting soil are amazing.

Potting Soil mixes are sold so different and in so many ways...
Some have far too many forest products such as bark, which consumes plant nutrients, breaks down quickly while going hard, and then dries out making it hard to get wet again. These products are low price with unpredictable yields.
Other mixes are loaded with sand (have you ever seen anything grow well in sand) or potting soil from a big hole in the ground (that soil is so far from top soil). Both are dead and have a poor ability to feed plants. Not only is there a low nutrient level, these mixes become very compact; not letting oxygen in. When that happens the plant can’t spread out and enjoy its environment, it literally fights to make room for its roots and without healthy roots there will not be healthy tops.
And the one that gives me a good chuckle is exotic animal waste. The truth is the plant doesn't know the difference from worms to bats when it comes to nitrogen. If you want great plants you need to have a great microbial population in the potting soil. You need to have the air and oxygen down there in the root zone. Companies literally put almost anything in a bag and call it potting soil. In reality, they generally find the cheapest ingredient they can find and pass it off as the real McCoy.

The way we make our potting soil-less growing medium is by starting with the highest quality peat moss bought from the most respectable and quality driven suppliers. We then mix in a unique perlite that retains water as well as provides air space for the roots. We also use a combination of fast start nutrients, slow release nutrients and micro nutrients. Finally we add some PH buffering minerals to keep the potting soil alive in different watering and growing conditions.

Now for the rest of the story- through the years I have used everything from a cement mixer to a shovel and bucket to combine my ingredients. I've even purchased big commercial equipment hoping to process the mix into perfect growing material. After much frustration, I finally gave up and designed, developed, and built my own processing/mixing equipment. That is when I began getting a consistent mix while having precise control over my ingredient ratios. And when I grew my first batch of plants in my green house I was totally amazed.

Our growing medium is so spongy and soft, it is probably the softest and smoothest medium you will ever use. The potting soil drains so well it is hard to over water. The nutrient level will stay in the mix for over 60 days, and in many crops will remain the entire season.
I have been using John’s potting soil (Blooming Sensations) for quite some time and plan to continue using it, as it contains the necessary nutrients and stimulants for both young and old plants. I normally start my small plants in early spring in small peat pot containing John’s soil, and later transplant them to the garden area. I add John’s soil to my garden area before I transplant the young plants. It provides the necessary nourishment they will need for a healthy start in the garden. With the proper amount of sun and water, they flourish all during the growing season. During the spring, summer, and fall seasons I also use the soil for many of my outside potted plants. The results are excellent. Once again, with the proper amount of sun and water John’s soil, these potted plants also thrive throughout the Idaho growing season.
